Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton Brunswick Canada, is an actor best known for playing Bo in the Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay and Peter Silk were both professors. Ilkay was also a writer, director and producer. She is Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. One of Anna's first memories are of attending play rehearsals and watching her mother do her job. Silk produced a number of commercials when she was still a kid. Silk completed her studies at St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. The early stage work she did included two shows with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk was moved to Toronto Canada in the fall of 1999, to keep acting. After that, she relocated to Los Angeles California during the next decade. Seth Cooperman met Silk at an acting workshop in Los Angeles, in 2007. They got married the year 2009 and wed with a civil ceremony December of that year. After she had converted to Judaism, they were married again in a Jewish ceremony on 10 April 2011 in Fredericton. Silk Cooperman was blessed with her son Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May of 2013. The second son of hers, Levi Aaron was born on May 13, 2016. Silk's work on television includes her role in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland and she received the Gemini Awards nod in 2009. She was given the role as Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian TV series Lost Girl in 2009. Silk became pregnant during production of the final season episode. She announced the pregnancy to viewers of the show during a Showcase show's pre-show Season Three special on January 6th, 2013. On June 4 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on the fourth season. Then on June 20 2013 Silk tweeted that she was back to the set of the show. CNN has named Bo's character alongside Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most watched television couples of all time. E! voted it as top TV couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk, as a result its growing popularity on social networks has earned it a large internet following.
