Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actress and writer popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in the 1960s. In the 1950s, she launched her career as an actress on stage for Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. She then acted in a several Broadway productions before she became an international star with Li'l Abner in 1957. Her first album of music, titled It's Time to Tina within the same year. Louise's debut appearance in Hollywood was as Griselda on God's Little Acre which was a 1958 romantic drama. The film received widespread praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's student. She signed on with CBS in 1964, to portray Ginger Grant. Louise did not stop juggling her work across Broadway as well as Hollywood playing more serious role as opposed her image as an glamor girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also played SG-1 on the show and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. Since her debut, she's become a well-known director for the most popular TV shows, including Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 28, August 1965 her family emigrated to Toronto in the age group of three. She spent the majority of her youth there before moving to Toronto for her adolescence. She settled in Vancouver after being selected for the role of Samantha Carter.
